Cloak It! is a simple little shareware application that places a large black window on your screen, effectively masking out any distraction from any other open applications or from the desktop below. Use it when you want to concentrate only on the graphic or game at hand. It can be used as a pseudo-screensaver on secondary monitors, however, it is not a screensaver in the proper sense.

• Runs under System 7 or later.
• Think of the cloak as a giant black window. Click anywhere in the black to bring it to the foreground. Then you can launch an application or use the application icon to switch to an open application, hiding everything else on the desktop.
• Cloak It! will accept the basic Apple Events.
• Works on multiple monitors.
• Cloak It! runs in a 40K memory partition. (In a real pinch, it may run under a 30K setting, but certain SF dialog enhancements - such as Super Boomerang - may become disabled.)
• If the largest available block of memory is smaller than the minimum partition size for a particular application that you are trying to launch from Cloak It!’s File menu, you will not be presented with a dialog box informing you about the lack of memory. Cloak It! will just ignore your selection.
• Since Cloak It! is an application, not an init, it must be open and running in the background in order to work. Any applications or extensions that automatically hide all open applications except the one you are currently working with, will defeat the function of Cloak It!. At Ease and Performia’s Launcher are among the uncompatables.
SHAREWARE
Cloak It! is shareware; this means that you may use it without paying for it for a reasonable period of time (about 30 days) to ensure that it works for you and is worth keeping. If you do decide to keep Cloak It!, we ask that you send us $5. Please note that you need to send $5 for every Macintosh Cloak It! is used on.

CLOSING RANT
Hey guys, we could put in a splash screen that pops up every five minutes reminding you to pay your shareware fee to get a version without the obnoxious reminder. Then someone would just go in and remove the splash screen resource rather than shelling over five bucks. Then we could code in a checksum routine - which could be defeated by...well, you get the idea. Time that could be spent improving software is wasted trying to find a way to keep people honest and fair (in deed if not in heart).
Please support shareware. Consider the alternatives.
